Student-built propulsion · NTNU

CURIOUS
BY DESIGN.

We are building a place where ambitious students can take an engine from first principles to first fire.

I · ABOUT JET

Engineering becomes real when the system has to work.

Jet NTNU is a student-led technical organisation in Trondheim. We unite people across mechanical engineering, electronics, controls, finance, partnerships, and communication around one unusually demanding objective: designing, manufacturing, and testing complete propulsion systems.

01

Own the system

Every component is connected. We learn to make decisions across interfaces, not only inside disciplines.

02

Build evidence

Calculations guide us. Manufacturing challenges us. Instrumented tests tell us what is true.

03

Grow together

Responsibility is shared early, knowledge is documented, and each generation leaves the next a stronger platform.

Our first programme

Project:
Jotun.

Jotun is our first complete turbojet programme—a common technical language for specialists who must work as one team. It is deliberately ambitious: thermodynamics, turbomachinery, combustion, hot structures, data acquisition, manufacturing, and safe testing meet in a single machine.
